February 6th

I did the treadmill this morning and have worked for a bit, now I need to start getting ready for the day so I can get my kids up. We have a busy day so I need to make sure I eat breakfast and take some healthy snacks to work with me. Last night before I went to bed I cleaned out my bread basket and put an unopened package of marshmallows in the pantry. The marshmallows got me craving rice krispy treats and I was going to stay up and make them. Then I thought when I get up in the morning I will make them I don't care about WW. Luckily this morning I thought breifly about it but they didn't sound good at 4:00am so I drank a glass of water, ate a WW Key Lime Pie yogurt and headed to the treadmill instead. I may just have to throw the marmallows away so I don't get tempted during the day.

Don't you just hate having those things in the pantry. you don't want to throw them away, but you don't want to be tempted!

We mostly got the bad storm this morning. It was almost 80 degrees yesterday. Guess that is what got me, I went out because it was nice and we took the kids to Burger King, there just is not much there for the dieting person, eventhough I had chivken it was still fried and loaded with calories and fat, way more than I would have ever thought! No wonder I am in the shape I am in. Then dh ordered a pizza, which I did not need but I really did not want to cook, we need to go to the grocery! So, like a dummy, I ate it. Still within my points though, but I did exercise after eating it, hopefully that will help! I got way to many temptations this week! Birthday, anniversary and we got our income tax refund and it makes it easier for dh to say, Let's Go out! Oh I hope I make it.
Good for you for resisting those rice krispie treats.

Hey I found this recipe, have not tried it and it is still like 4 points per serving, but maybe an alternative to rice krispie treats?

Good for you resisting!! That is soooo hard though, when you want something so bad!! I took a bite of a brownie yesterday and felt guilty so I spit it in the sink! UGH :)

Way to work on this Becky!
About breakfast, it is the most important meal of the day. Did you know that it effects your metabolism all day (slowing it down) if you don't eat a good breakfast? True words.

Try oatmeal. The regular oats that take 5 mins to cook. I usually boil water in a teapot and then pour it (3/4 - 1 c.) over my 1/2 c of oatmeal, then cover the bowl with a plate to allow it to "cook" this way I don't have to babysit the stove or microwave. When I come back in 5-10-15-20 minutes it is ready to eat an still warm!

Also, I found a yummy 7-grain hot cereal in the bulk bins @ Smith's Marketplace this past week. 1/4 c cereal and 3/4 c boiling water. Unfortunately, this one you do need to cook on the stove, but it is really good and healthy!

Marshmellow is low fat right? Well it was worth a try right! Good work on resisting! I bought these 100cal packs of mini cupcakes. When I want something sweet that is what I reach for.
